In Nov, 2017, Zomato released its series of outdoor campaing. One of the cheeky one was ‘MC.BC (mac n’ cheese) (butter chicken)’ ad.

What happened next was interesting. There was a fierce social media outrage on this campaign and Zomato was forced to withdraw this outdoor ad. This was replaced by a more acceptable ad (‘tennu fruit suit karda?’) with a satire intended (You guys deserve fruits and not butter Chichen or Mac). To prove that it has learnt its lesson, Zomato offered a 10 per cent cash back. The promo code? ‘OUTRAGE’
